Bass is messed up on radio

Has anyone experienced this? Out of the blue my bass has to be adjusted all the way down (-) to listen to the radio, etc. If left it at (0) its unbearable. Adjusting anything else has not effect. It does seem like it happen after I used an Ipod, but I disconnected it and still have the problem.

2009 Model, non-navi

Thanks, Craig

I'd try disconnecting the power to the radio (pull the fuse) to attempt resetting it. Make sure you have the security code handy. Otherwise sounds like a warranty issue.

that definitely doesn't sound normal. I have to put my Bass to max (+6) just to enjoy my music.

i'd try what steve244 said or take it to the dealer.

Just a very outside chance I know, but also try turning on/off the auto volume control thing too. Maybe that got stuck.

?

Is it a rattly sound like you've blown your speakers?

It's kind of a cheapo stereo in there - I was used to the integrated sub in the center console in my Element. The one in the Fit doesn't provide much in the way of bass. Even if you crank the bass way up in the audio settings, it doesn't boost the low end much, just muddies up the low end of the midrange and distorts the sound. It's better set even.

(Not that it makes much difference when I'm rockin' the NPR!)

That's normal. My Yaris was worse.
