Viper on '09 Fit: Door locks not working

I just had Best Buy install a Viper 350HV on my 2009 Fit. But the installer couldn't get the electronic door locks to work with it. He said he hooked everything up as he does on other Hondas, but the locks aren't responding.

Does anyone have any tips I might pass on to this guy?

sorry this isn't much help but i would tell him to find another career ;]

hopefully you get this resolved. honda installed my viper alarm very quickly and has worked just fine every since, i am not sure of anything special about it...? may be he should learn how to read the wiring diagram istead of hooking it up like "any other honda"

i am an electrician and sometimes i see things that i have done before, but is wired differently due to whatever reason. all i have to do is read the wiring diagram and i install it no problems...i am assuming he should be able to do the same with this alarm if it is his job. if not his supervisor should be able to.

I'm wondering if it's a bad connection or the doorlock output is defective. Maybe he got the wrong wires. who knows. He should be able to make this work seeing how he does this for a living. lock- light blue/ unlock-gray both negative trigger found @ MICU attached to the back of fuse box under driver side dash in light green plug(wires are very small). The 09 fit is different from the previous. It's new to the market and he might not have a tech sheet for it. Tell the installer that the wiring for the 09 fit is very similar to the newer cr-v and civics. I hope this helps. I do this kind of work for a living!

is it a sport or base cause if its a sport u have to cut into the power lock wire for the stock "alarm" and it will work but key lock button wont work anymore. but it will lock and unlock with the alarm pager.

don't really understand what you are saying, but door lock buttons should work no matter what. door locks and factory arm/disarm are independent wires, which have to see a negative pulse. Seeing he used a viper it should have a factory alarm/disarm output independent from the door lock outputs. I just did a new clifford 1.3x 2-way remote starter in my fit sport and it has to be one of the easiest car starters out there. The factory keyless entry still works and the clifford remote does keyless and factory alarm functions as well.
