Start up and cooling issue

Help...
I'm currently in the Philippines and I purchased a 2008 Honda Fit 1.3auto.
I've had it for 2 years and it's only done 65k.
The issue I have is the other day out of the blue the red temp light started flashing randomly , never has this happened before.
So the next day when I started the car the blue cold Light never came on which in turn meant the auto choke never came on so the car idled low (800rpm) which is normal once the car is warm but it would idle at 1500rpm when first started until it warmed up. It's like the car is telling itself it's warm from get go.
I'm stuck on a island with no Honda service cetre etc
The local mechanic has replaced the thermastat valve and flushed the system just started the car and again no cold light when revved it would splutter and the hot light came on after 15 minutes of idling.

Any thoughts people?????

Check engine light on? Got codes?

Is the cooling system/radiator full?

Need a scanner that can read live engine data, see if BOTH of the coolant temperature sensors to see if one may be reporting inaccurately.
There is one sensor (ECT1) on the engine for the computer and blue/red lights, and another sensor in the bottom tank of the radiator (ECT2) for the fans. (on North American cars, I assume yours is quite similar).
NOTE those are not temperature switches, they are sensors. You cannot jumper them to make the fans turn on.

And see if the radiator fans turn on at an appropriate temperature, about 206-212*F on the ECT2 (the one in the radiator) if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the reply mate
I was reading about a scanner but unfortunately I don't have access to one where Im located I may need to fly one in here
The orange engine light has come on.
Yes the radiator is full but it was not raised for beefing purposes is that necessary?
The car will show the red temperature light and the fan will not engage.
I was going to check the radiator was not blocked?
I'm on a remote island with limited recourses unfortunately.
Any other possible things I can try before I set out to get a scanner?
Appreciate the feedback.

The computer has detected a problem, you NEED to know what the computer can tell you.

This is where I start.
Without knowing, all you or anyone else can do is guess....and every time you guess wrong it gets more expensive.

Based on your descriptions of the issues I'd look at the ECT1 and ECT2 and their associated wiring......but if you don't see anything upon visual inspection, then you need to be able to "see" what the computer is "seeing" via live operating data on a scan tool.
(Meaning a scan tool that has more capability than a simple 'read and erase code' functions.)
but it was not raised for beefing purposes is that necessary?
Not sure what 'raised for beefing' means.
Farming, cattle (beef)?

One more thing as I'm certainly not the mechanic type the ECT 1 you say is on the motor is that located near the thermastat valve? I remember seeing two similar components near Te thermastat valve manifold whee the hoses connect do the ECT 1&2 look the same?

I don't know if your engine is identical to the 1.5 used in North America, but here the ECT1 would be on the back of the cylinder head, connector points to the firewall. Below the throttle body, amongst the heater hose fittings.
2 wires on it.
Darn hard to find unless you already know where to look.

Hope you can see this parts catalog picture, ECT1 is item #13

Again, this is for a USA car with 1.5L, not your 1.3L engine
