I'd really want to know what the correct replacement is. I thought I got them to work with some filing but they quit due to vibration I guess. Doesn't matter as neither A/C nor the rear defroster work anyway so I'm not ordering OEM bulbs

I did the rear brakes before a recent trip since I saw the rotors were in bad shape while I was dealing with the above. Well I replaced the rotors as the pads didn't arrive on time, and the old ones looked good enough to slap back in.

I've never seen an issue like this (other than on this wheel obv.) before. Only the outside 50% doesn't seem to be getting contact with the pad so it rusts freely. Really strange and I've no idea what could be causing this.

I cleaned everything of course before reinstalling, but the new rotor also seem to be starting to develop this pattern:

By feel it brakes ok, I drove 3000km without any issues. But hopefully a new pad and maybe more grease would resolve it.

Also I think I figured out what was the mysterious ticking sound coming from the rear-left wheel on left turns, though it actually seemed to stop or became much quieter recently by itself.
When I took off the rotor, the lip of the splash guard was dented where the arrow is. While I was messing with it a bit, I dented it a bit further, and this caused it to contact with the heads of the stud bolts. This made a sound each time a bolt passed that location, so 4x per revolution. I can't be 100% sure this was it, but there's not much else on the rear wheel that could've been causing this...

Am I reading right that you have rear discs on that Fit? Did you do an upgrade or did those come with rear discs stock in Europe? Every iteration of the Fit here in the US came with drums in the back (and honestly, they're fine!).

I didn't upgrade them myself, and I'm pretty sure these are just OEM. Looking at the parts catalog, there are some trim combinations that have drums in the rear, but no idea which ones were more typical in reality.

Really, yes, considering how little braking these are doing anyway, drums would be fine too. But I'm happier to work with disk brakes though

Thankfully nothing major to update this winter, except...

Came out to see this under the car a few weeks back. Really freaked me out because a) it's big puddle and not a few drops and b) I was supposed to drive some people around later that day.

After a look underneath though it was clearly right under the oil filter, I touched it and and... it was loose as hell. OMG. No idea how how it was fine for over half a year and multiple thousand-km trips and then one day it just loosened itself. I did tighten it by hand as instructed (until contact +whatever turns) but it can be pretty hard to tell when the gasket actually makes contact so maybe that was a problem. Really wish there was a simple locking mechanism on the filter so you didn't have to be paranoid and overtighten it.
