RooF MounT BikE RacK ~ HELP !
K, so i am looking to get back into ridding my bike again, and am looking for a high quality, roof rack system,
only problem is that i hate the look of the legs sticking up from the roof, and i hate having to remove the legs every time i use it.
are any ways around it ?
which system is the best ? reliable ?
and which system's mounting legs are the shortest ?
thanks
photo references: these are the LEGS i am referring to
OR is it better to DRILL the roof and install these RAILS ?

Instead of a roof rack have you considered buying a trunk mount? I was given an old RhodeGear 2-bike trunk mount rack that hangs perfectly off the back of my base Fit. It hold two bikes very securely even on long trips. We drive as far away as 250 miles one-way for weekend trips and never have a problem. I'm thinking of buying a 3 bike rack from either Thule or Yakima soon so we can take an extra friend. Before the rack I was able to put two bikes plus ice cooler and extras with the rear seats down. Pretty cramped plus you could only take 2 people.
