Just got back from my trip about 20 mins ago and I am crazy sore. The Fit handled the trip like it was a walk in the pack despite an almost endless onslaught of wind gusts. The 205/55 Avid V4Ss made the Fit feel much more stabler than the factory 195/55 SP31s during lane change, but due to the wind as well as tire being taller, wider, and overall 3 lbs heavier than the SP31s my fuel mileage was down significantly. Resulting in 33.975 MPG opposed to an easy 40+ MPG with little to no wind and factory tires.

Other than that, B performed like a champ, had no sort of quirks what so ever, and will be getting detailed in the morning as a reward.

Took off the front bumper, removed the lip and the fogs for sanding and painting. The fogs needed a touch-up after this past winter and the lip, dear God the lip.... Poor thing had almost no good clear left on it, rock chips scratches and scrapes all the way across it. The paint was so bad off from ten feet away the lip looked WHITE! So I'm gonna paint it semi-gloss black and put carbon fiber film on the ends until I can scrounge a carbon OEM lip.

while i was on vacation, mom took the fit to the dealership to get the recall done. Surprised me and paid for an alignment which i had been putting off and cleaned and vaccuumed the interior.

I think you must be married to the real Wonder Woman....... You need to really go out of your way to do whatever it takes to hold on to her. Congratulations to you both on the new baby..

I hope it lasts because it was a real PITA to get it to look this good! LOL I may paint the entire lip kit the same color just to finish it off so to speak, haven't made up my mind yet....

I will have my bumper off pretty soon and thinking about spraying the lip, fog lamp housings and the lower grill opening where paint chipped away after some crap body work..... I am leaning toward spraying it all with black rubber undercoating... I like the texture and think it would be easy to touch up if damaged..... It wouldn't take as much prep work and I am getting old and lazy.
