What did you do to the GD Fit today?

I like it .... I used some of the CF film on a motorcycle 8 years ago and did a good job with the stuff but It just didn't work for me visually..... What you have done does work very well.

A bra he says! Too Late for that shit man! The paint on the whole front of the car is T R A S H E D. But since I can't swing a full respray right now, i addressed the part that bothered me the most. It is what my father referrs to as a "50 ft car" LOL And yes i did remove the bumper, and the lip from the bumper to sand and spray it, it would have been damn near impossible with it on the car!

I washed the car today. I also took a hour drive up to Otsego to pick up my wheel then a hour back home. The 2 hour drive was really nice, it was a nice day and the traffic was light. I put in one of my favorite CD's hit the cruise control and enjoyed the drive.

quite a bit...
reinstalled the thule racks now that we have it back from the body shop...
bypassed the throttle body coolant line...
installed the airbox-to-tb pipe (see my thread or cardomain)...
hacked off all the airbox resonators...
installed the painted intake mani cover...
i feel a sense of accomplishment

THanks Tex
[quote=Texas Coyote;850810]I think he might have meant that a bra would be a way to hide damage as well as protect the work you have done.... I had one on a Safari van that had lip cladding and as high off of the ground as it was I ruined it driving on what amounted to less than a cow trail too and from my house so it is out of the question for my Fit..... Though there is a road to my driveway now getting up it is pretty rough at times.[/
THanks Tex $105 from Mechanicsville Honda your covered GP (Sport w/fit logo) and after the repaint you could use it for next winter in By Gum West Varginny to keep her looking Good

I tried one of the two long wool seat covers that I got for my wife's Forester on the drivers seat of my Fit and went for a drive..... The things look like a bear is laying on the seats because the wool is so thick, long and plush and the comfort is unbelievable. They are so thick that my head is much closer to the roof and I sit a little more forward but I am able to tilt the seat pack to a very comfortable position and still not have to stretch to reach the wheel, my weight is no longer concentrated on my tail bone and my thighs are supported. I have been considering after market seats for a long time but no longer.... I'm going to order a set for my car even if they do look crazy.

^^That sucks! You need some friends with driveways that belong to them. If you don't mind a three hour drive come on out to WV, I'll help ya put them on. Summit Point is ten miles from my house, you could break them in proper like! I may look into a front end cover, since I'm going towards a whole black/blue theme anyway. I just can't deal with the whole remove-clean-wax-reinstall routine every ten days to avoid the bra doing more harm than good.

My wife has a bra on her Forester and it is fairly easy to remove and clean but it is more difficult on a car that is as low as a Fit. I just can't deal with one with the sand here but one would look good on my car.
