So I heard! You guys are lucky.

Then again, this is pretty much the first time I've seen windshield damage on any of our cars. With windshields getting larger and larger on new cars though, that Florida-style "free windshield replacement" policy seems more and more practical.

Hey Chris
I had the same prob with the Zeta burl wood kit I used. I pealed off the gray thin 2x tape that comes on the handle covers and use 3M white doubl sided tape and that was 1.5 years ago and so far so good. The trick is to get the surface really clean I used rubbing alcohol and checked with a piece of masking tape ( if the masking tape stuck on really good then your 3m tape will)
hope this helps
Mike
PS we want 2C pix pls
Here's a pic of mine, Finest plastic this side of China... Haha

Hi, humidity is still too high in Winnipeg to apply any more of the kit. I really like the wood kit in your car. I went with the brushed stainless kit as it looks a lot like the satin finish parts in the Fit until you look closer. A little crazy glue fixed the problem with the door handle pieces not sticking. As it is supposed to rain all weekend I will likely have to wait until next week before I can finish the job.

Got this in the mail today. Thanks Downtyme! Not sure if I'm gonna keep the lower portion yet. Fitment is perfect. I'm just not sure its the look I want. As opposed to the thrashed paint under it of course.... Some pics

Thanks Guys! I've never had one on a car I've owned before so its somewhat of a shock. It does cover up a whole lot of damaged paint though....

I've been working on installing one of those on my 2010 Sport and am coming to the same conclusion you are. The hood part is a piece of cake, but I've been having trouble fitting the lower on. Problem when I put in away was getting the "tabs" in and around the lights. Also having trouble reaching the snap tabs.

And to think it's going to need to come off and go back on to be useful... any tricks?

Nice rims shaun954. I like the bra as well grtpumpkin, sure beats spending hours fixing rock hits. Not looking forward to that when the weather improves.

I am really thinking about getting a front end bra.... I have the bumper off and in pieces and what I am noticing that the bulk of the damage I see is under the lip right where the bra attaches..... I had a bra on a Safari van that sat much higher than the Fit and wore the part under the lip to pieces. I am wondering if some kind of neoprene could be sewed or riveted on in the area that scrapes....3 years and 11 months of driving has really trashed the front of my car.
