A friend of mine does some fiberglass fabrication and we're looking in to the feasibility of hooking up some 1989 batmobile-type rear wings and some stuff for the front. I want to kind of stupid this car up. It's super slow, so the only thing I can do is make it look silly.

Well b4 winter hits and my Honda OEM 2 year gaurantee not to last much more than that battery is DOA I picked up a new one. Did a bit of $ research on the 51R batteries out there and the optima is the lightest and is waaaaaaay to exspencive 150-234 depending on were I looked on the net. Auto Zone Gold was 100 & has a 5yr warranty 2yr full replacement and well ya know how that works if it dies at 4 years they give ya bout a buck .25. So I got an ever start from wallyworld for 67.00 2yr replacement w/500cca. Trickle charged it to 14.6v static. OEM is @ 12.9-13v and last year it was @ 14+v so it's time. I could prob. wait till it dies a slow death and take it back to the dealer but it's not worth the haggle'n/aggrivation.

Have you tried Costco? Batteries there run $59 with an 8 year guarantee!

Has anyone ever adjusted their rear window washer yet? I want to adjust mine since its aimed at the bottom of the hatch's window.

Thumbs up

I'm sure there's a way to adjust it depending upon what you mean by "aimed at the bottom of the window". Does that mean the wiper blade goes pass the bottom of the window and touches your car?
If you can show a pic of what's going on with it, then I'm sure some of the great brains and creative minds of this forums Fitstaz can suggest something for you.

Nothing is wrong with the wiper itself, just need to adjust where the washer nozzle is spraying. The washer sprays the fluid at the lower portion of the hatch glass instead of spraying in the middle of the glass.

Those nozzles are adjustable. Rear should aim at the top of the window. I've used a toothpick on other cars, not sure on the Fit - possibly the same technique being sure not to damage the nozzle hole. Use a straight pin possibly.

I'll give that I try sometime this weekend. Hopefully I can aim it correctly without breaking the tip. If not, I'll aim it straight back at those pesky tailgaters.

WOW that is the best DEAL on a Honda Fit battery, 4x the warranty and 20- cheaper! 2bad I already bought 1.

But this is great news for everyone else looking for a 51R battery!

And everybody said, Thanks Blue!!!

Thumbs up Spray nozzle

Hope this helps you Hootie.
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Needle or Pin

  1. 1
First, squirt your washer fluid onto the windshield to get a test, or starting spray pattern.
  2. 2
From there, take a needle or pin and stick it into the windshield washer squirt nozzle to be realigned. Gently move the needle/nozzle in the direction you desire for spray pattern correction.
  3. 3
Lastly, squirt your washer fluid onto the windshield to confirm your new spray pattern. A few iterations of these three steps may be necessary as this is a trial-and-error process. Perform this same process to any and all remaining misaligned nozzles.

Spent my day of vacation yesterday washing, clay baring, cleaning the interior, did a little bit of the engine bay. Today when it gets warmer will do x2 coats of wax and call it a day. South Williamson car show on Sunday and one more next Saturday to end the season. It has been a great summer for the Fit - made lots of new friends and saw some great cars.

Installed front and rear struts last week. It's great on turns super stiff! Also Removed cold air intake and put stock one in. After doing about a tank on the stock. It saves a ton on gas, getting average with stock intake between 36-39mpg I think I'll keep the stock one in for a while.

A bit off topic but anyone know where you can autocross in southflorida.
