Discovered a screw that's made its home in my right-rear tire tread. Losing 5 psi overnight. It was a nasty surprise having a gas-station attendant point out that my tire sidewall had sagged...

Will wash and detail her tomorrow, it is supposed to be a gotgeous day. I will also be trimming my inner fenders at all four corners to cure the rubbing that has been occuring with the 205-55s. I'll take some pics and post here and in tire tech to illustrate the trouble spots with this large a tire and Skunk2 springs.

@ grtpumpkin: What is your wheel offset? I'm also running a 205/55R15 (15x6.5 ET +40 wheel) but I have minor rub at all 4 corners without any modifications and only in the rear with tucked front liners.

Yeah, I'm rollin on 17's w/ Skung spings. I've had them for over a year now and they have finally settled down. Now on a large bump with a passenger my fronts rub a little.. but only at the joint where the screw connects the bumper to the -outer edge- of the fender. Do you know if that portion can be rolled or removed?
If so..then what would connect the two after?

Hootie, I'm on stock GD Sport wheels, with 10mm spacers in the back and nothing in the front. The tires are ContiExtremeContacts, not the newer DWS type. They have a very square shoulder to the tread and that is where they are hitting the fender liners. I trimmed a piece about sixinches long by two inches wide off both front fender liners and used zip ties through relocated mounting holes. That seems to have cured the rubbing, although I need to re-do the drivers side it will still contact over large bumps.

We've had three car shows back to back - it has been a busy month. This was taken at the South Regional Show where we won a Top 20
trophy. The weekend before that we won Ist place Best Import.

We ended the year with 10 Trophy wins for the Fit including Top Trophies, Best of Show, Top Import - including last year we have 14 trophies. These are all but the 2 wall plaques and the crystal Best of Show

I doubt if I'll get to show it much next year because it is my DD and starting to show some chips from being on the road everyday. It is hard to believe it will be 4 next May. I only have 19,900 miles on it and I hope to keep it on the road for several more years. It will go down in the books as being my favorite car ever and I am just proud that the judges thought it worthy enough to give a trophy to. Out of all the shows we attended this summer we only had 2 that we did not win a trophy in, not a bad way to end the summer. I have some local car guys looking out for a beater that I could use as my DD and make the Fit a garage queen so I could continue to show it next year. If I can do that then I will be lowering the car and possibly stereo set up in the hatch for sound competitions.

Big Mike, if you try the Megueirs 4 step polishing system it will remove it and keep it off along as you atleast wipe it down regularly. The first step of that kit is a car paint cleaner, 2nd car wash, 3rd is wax and finally 4th is the good part "Polishing her up". If you just use the 1st step which removes the stains then you could probably finish up your ride with whatever you normally use. Should be able to find it in your local auto parts store.
Good luck!

Swapped my summer wheels for my winter and was greeted by a little surprise. A half hour job ended up taking a hour plus as I tried to figure out how to fix this.

damn... was this the OEM endlink? mine don't look like that... You can buy a descent pair on ebay, i must admit i'm surprised there's so much rust, i tought that granted i was in canada i would be one of the worst... the car was treated once though...

EDIT: BTW i have a spare sitting in my closet... and a pair but the bolts don't fit in the holes...

no, its the endlink that came with the skunk2 coilovers. Im baffled as to how it came apart and how long it was like that. I would hope that when I was putting my summer wheels on I would have noticed some thing like that.
