I use my car to go to the grocery store so there is food in my car. Sometimes before some sorry bastard or real coyotes got my dog I let him ride in it but he took baths on a regular basis.....It must be my funky old self, but I only smell it in my car... I had cars that smelled worse when I was a teenager and took dates to drive in theaters but this odor isn't at all fishy like back then. The odor then was coming from the back seat and we didn't have Fabreeze but I tried all kinds of cologne and aftershave but it seemed like every following school week it smell fishy again.. Come to think about it a some of my buddies had the same problem except one who drove his parents old 61 Chevy with clear plastic seat covers. I hated those seat covers.

Thanks Joel... Since we have met in person you know that I don't have much book learning and only post on what I have personally experienced.. I appreciate it that a refined young fellow like yourself likes reading what I post.

Neat install. I could use that map light. Phone I don't need. No one calls me or I don't answer.

hood wrap

I just got my Fit! and it has bug damage on the hood. If you've ever been to Florida in the spring you know that "love bugs" are a nightmare! Evidently the previous owner didn't care enough to wash them off and thus ruined the paint.
Instead of repainting, my Dad had the hood wrapped in satin black vinyl as a going away present! He calls it "poor man's carbon fiber" :^D

Now pull that sport grill off and have it wrapped to match!

Haven't had the problem on my Fit but in other cars I've used Lysol. Might work for you. Start the car, turn on your defroster and/or heater. Make sure your vent setting is open and not on recirc. Then spray heater intake below your wipers.

Sometimes it's the mold and bacteria build up that causes the smell. The Lysol should kill it. Worked for me.

Might take care of the dirty part TC, but don't know about the old part

Took my Fit back to stock - CF hood and rims are stored away until spring. The only thing left in place is the Megan exhaust. How many more days until spring? Getting ready to order some smoked LED tail lights for
2011 modification. Just can't stop!

The fear I have of doing the same is the primary reason I'm not changing mine around.. I can't even get the wiper off of the arm as it is and it is the one that came with the car new 4 1/2 years ago... I live on an unpaved road and the dust covers my rear window so I really need to replace that wiper.

I think that has happened to other people also.. That is the way things seem to work out for me, usually ending up being something that is hard to find breaks and ends up costing more than I want to pay for it. Like the $60 cable I messed up on an Apexi throttle control valve and waited over a month for when I found one because the guy thought he had it after he had my money so I sent him more for a longer one and he forgot to send it.. On top of that there was a problem on Ebay about me not paying for the first one and they were giving me shit... Damned cars can be a pain in the ass.
