Yeah I have 6k heads and 3k fogs. Ive always been a fan of HID @bthasht because they usually only come on luxury cars and when your driving on the freeway on youre looking at 1000 headlights the HID's stand out cuz they dont look old and yellow staind like a kids bedsheet lol. So that's why I do HID's on my cars. I've tried the bulbs which usually run between 25-60 bucks depending and both in my experiance burn out within 6 months or a year if youre lucky. Ive had HID on my element for over 3 years no burnout. and on my fit for only 6 months but i expect the same or better.

I know theres a lot of debate on here about shitty HID kits that do nothing but blind ppl and I have to admit the first set i bought for my element are pretty much just lighting up everything even the freeway signs 20 feet up in the air. but my fit HID's by xenith xenons have a bmw like cutoff that is very clean and does not spray off into oncoming traffic. VERY IMPRESSIVE for reflector style headlights where you would expect that in a retrofit or projector headlight only. So Im not a supporter of just any HID on any vehicle but now I am aware and doing my part to keep everyone safe not just the person behind my wheel.

But anyway, waiting for my 3" stubby antenna, Blue drag splined extended lug nuts, and VHT wrinkle red spray paint to come in. should be a nice week next week if they all come in soon!!

and I parked like that at costco just to be away from all the crazy cars and have some space and when i walked back out to my car I saw the "compact on the ground right there and had to snap the pic with my phone. I like it too

@bthasht, no offense taken. I didn't realize how much of a rant that turned into lol, but I was just telling you why I personally am a fan of Hid's. Also they are usually on the lemans and GT cars and that's kinda the look I'm going for. Very race like. So don't worry I wasn't taking it personal

@kenmei I'm always down to help. The HID's are pretty easy, but the Indy fogs are not easy for my big hands, I'll let you get in there while I coach you through it.

Happy times FF'ers

We should start a poll for people who are on ff.net at work or on their phone. I know that's what gets me through the slow days at work ;-)

Well got off at 3pm today, so installed tanabe front lower. Install was decent. Took about an hour, but I was on the bluetooth the whole time so could be faster if not distracted by wifey. Perfect fit as with all tanabe. Drove great. Instantly felt my front end tighter. Wont tell the true road test (got critized for that last time), but very noticeable. Still need rear upper for next.....

also, removed my muffler (seen in 2nd pic) ... loving the sound! very deep and not ricey at all. once you hit vtec you can really hear the k&n intake whistle too...i like it a lot! i figured i'd keep it this way until my tanabe medallion arrives, then it'll be an easy install

Yesterday my passenger HID build went out. Sends they both are leaking and kind of look gross I decided to swap back to the OEM lights. I'm already kind of missing the HIDs but I do also like the look again of the front of my car.

Ahh full on retrofit huh? Is that reversible or did you just swap you the whole headlight assembly

Btw those look like sparco rims, are they?

recall

Got my 30K service done, had the GDs headlight recall service done (about an hour) and had them look at my malfunctioning (smacked by an orange cone on I-70) driver's side mirror. They ordered the part and didn't even ask about what happened. I said it just stopped working (lie).

I changed my oil and put my Enkei RPF1 wheels and Conti Pro Contact tires back on. The 195-45-16 Toyo Proxes TR!s on the 16x7 Final Speed Eraser wheels I got from JCrimson are down to the steel belts on the front so I am back on my light weight all weather touring tires.... Even though the 16s are heavier the reduction in diameter and softer rubber compound of the tires didn't seem to hurt acceleration mainly because of the increase in final drive ratio and full hook up at 40 mph in 2nd gear... I changed from 5w20 Mobile1 to 10w30 with Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer to see if it would help with blow by when on boost that was dirtying up the ass end of the car.. It was making my licence plate kind of hard to read after driving on a dirt road and having the dust adhere to the fine oil mist... If my wife hasn't thrown away a small Mason Jar that I got with some homemade jalapeno in a while back, I'm going to put together a down home looking practical, functional blowby separator for under $5.... I might splurge and make one from a stainless steel whiskey flask I was going to order some anyway.

Yep retro fit, I'm one of the few fit owners that did a proper HID setup. I had a spare set of OEM lights sitting around so I put them in. The wheels look like Sparco? No there Volk CE28s
