195/50R15s would make your speedometer read too fast. If you were driving 60 MPH for example with 195/50R15s, your speedometer would read 62 MPH.

Edit: Go to the link below and key in the tire sizes if you're interested in so you can see how they affect the speedometer.

thanks, so not so much you would really notice or that it would add way too many miles to the odometer.

You GD-3 owners should get in on the Group Buy on chassis braces that will be over on the 18th... 16 more items ordered will get us that have placed orders and other that do a better price break... These are very nice quality aluminum alloy bracing that besides adding considerably to structural rigidity also absorbs and cancels out road vibration more so than steel bracing which has a tendency to resonate and transfer more of the road noise and vibration.....The braces will improve the function of your suspension modifications and keep your alignment true during hard cornering with wide offset wheels and low aspect ratio tires.... They will also make your car hold a line on a fast bumpy turn like it is on rails and eliminate torque flex of the body that will eventually cause all kinds of annoying rattles to both body and suspension components... Having a top mount front strut bar does very little to prevent the lower part of the struts where the wheel hubs brake disk and CV joint attached to the axles from splaying out on hard bumps or sharp fast cornering.... You will never see these kinds of deals again.

Drove mine to Yokohama super autobacs today. Bought a gold mugen oil cap and a mugen radiator cap! Not big mods but they are my first!

My speedo is still dead on with my 205/50/15. Speedo says 60, and so does my gps?
Cutting is very easy with a dremel, and anyone local to you will roll 2 fenders for about $75.
But if you dont rub than there are no tire worries anyway.

Whoa - hand washing the Fit. Must be nice down there in Virginia. I've bought into the local car wash chain. We're supposed to see 40F by Thursday, but with all the 5ft snow banks it's really not going to be car wash conducive.

So Mike, why did you pull the lip? I've been thinking about doing that ever since you did it.

Hey Chuck,
I started this morning with a prefoam rinse and it froze to the car haha. So it hit a swelltering 50 today and I was loving the sun just being out for a change.
The lip was getting ripped up in the front and it covered up the chrome tip in the back & I'll be able to put the mask back on the front is really getting Beat this winter. I'm toying around with reclearing the car with a high quality clear coat to stop all this chipping and if I do that I'll have to add something to flip flop the color.
Mike

welded the t3 flange onto my ihi turbo, hung the intercooler and ran the intercooler to throttle body pipe. Next up is to bolt up the manifold/turbo combo and make the downpipe, and run the turbo to intercooler pipe.

Last night, I put gas in my car, then ran it through the car wash. Got the undercarriage done as well. The wash wasn't perfect, but I got most of the crap from the last couple of weeks off my car. We need rain to wash all the salt & sand off the roads.

Today, went out for coffee and picked up some SmartWater on the way home (to rehydrate from last night).

Changed the oil in both my and my wifes cars. The wind blew my Seibon hood shut on the hood holder which broke a big chip out of the side of my hood. Oh well it was de-laminating like crazy anyway, so I reinstalled my OE hood. Then I installed my new to me Megan b-pipe, which took longer than I had guessed it would. But it was very worth it, I can almost get 60 MPH in second gear now. Maybe when I finally get my plastic welder and reassemble my Frankenstein intake manifold....
