Just joined the forum today!!! My 2008 Sport has 99,000+. I will post odometer when I hit 99999. Other than general maintenance (oil, tires, brakes, trans, etc), I had to do the ignition coils and a valve adjustment. I have to admit I drive my car hard. Almost 7 years and still a blast to drive, though I think the suspension is getting a bit tired.

I'm not sure to be honest, I was convinced when I first bought mine last month that I could get over 150,000 easily with regular maintenance, but it's developed an engine knock in lower block cylinder 2/3 which the Honda dealer recommends a full block replacement. Sooo, needless to say I'm discouraged but if I get a new engine put in right I don't see why it shouldn't go a long time. Well built Honda quality, and it s a seasoned vehicle- they've been out since 2001 overseas, but came to the USA in 2007. They're a pretty well tuned vehicle for the daily driver. With care and maintenance it won't let you down.

My 2008 has over 130,000 miles on it still going strong even though I drive it a lot harder than I should I could probably get over 200k out of it only problems so far are rear spring sag and the clutch is almost gone from 5 people learning to drive on it

That would be quite a record. Do you think an automatic transmission can survive 500K without a complete rebuild?

STILL the best car I ever owned. Bar none.

I brought this car right after going bankrupt. Medical bills, does it to a whole lot of americans. In hind sight, everybody needs to research canabis oil. or watch "RUN FROM THE CURE" free info on you tube.

Now on to my 08 fit sport with 118,000,00 miles I've changed the oil every 5,000 miles, I have change the frt. brakes rotors, and brake oil, haven't done the back drum but well before winter hits. I did change the transmission oil once at 60,000, I have replaced the air conditioner condenser, my advice to us owners, is do it yourself, paid an arm and leg having it replaced by a pro. Have changed out timing belt/chain, I didn't do it, pretty sure it was a belt. Pro did it. replaced my plugs myself - really easy, you-tube video help a lot. One thing on my mind is the rad. fluid, I want to change that , the back brakes, I run steel rims on it and this car still sticks to the road, let go of the steering wheel and this car still rides straight, I also have a loud muffler on it, and I don't give a shit. it is still a riot to drive, I would buy another one of these in a Heartbeat. really great car. it would be Perfect if I got 250,000,00 out of it. I also own a 83 naked Goldwing, No lie, it is built as well as the car.

P.s. thanks Fit Freak for all you guys/gals due!

221k on my 2008. Hope to get to 300k. After that, would buy another Fit in a heartbeat. Original clutch, but I imagine a new one is coming soon.

When you get the clutch replaced, or DIY, replace the Clutch Fork and Slave Cylinder at the same time. Will eliminate a nasty sticking clutch pedal problem. The fork and slave meet at a ball and socket fitting that wears out and then sticks. The slave is an easy DIY. The clutch is a PIA.

It has a chain that should last as long as your motor -- you may want to double check what you were charged for that 'service' and see if you deserve a refund.

I'd like to know if anyone has a high mileage CVT? I plan on keeping my Fit for about 7 or 8 years at least.
