SRS Airbag Red Light

Is anyone else getting an intermittent red warning light for the Airbag SRS in the gauge cluster?

I took it into the dealership and they ran a diagnosis, restarted the "computer" and it went away. Within 15 min of driving it popped back up.

I'm definitely not paying to replace the airbag... anyone else getting this? Any resolution?

That could be a "costly" mistake.

unplug the seat airbag clips and re plug them back in. some times they come undone because passangers can hit it with their feet.

seat airbag clips

Right on. I'll give that a try. Is that connector under the seat?

The light seems to come on after the car warms up.

I had leather seats and a sunroof installed in my car... a lot of annoying issues seem to have been a side-effect of this. However it was worth it.

maybe the guys who installed the seats didn't connect the plugs all the way. yes they are right under the seat.

The code is 32-10. Which is passenger airbag related. There is a TSB out on the civic for the same code - that resolution is a wiring issue. I think it's a wiring issue. I'm going to mess around with the SRS wiring on the passenger seat and see if it fixes it.

Update - I didn't actually have to reconnect them but I squeezed the connectors a bit under the passenger seat and the error went away!

Give this a try first, before you take it to the dealer and they charge you $75 bucks for a diagnostic with no solution.

I know this is an old post, but I'm having the same issue now. Since I am definitely not mechanically inclined, what does it look like? Thanks!

There are a number of wire harnesses clipped together. I'm not entirely sure exactly which one it was. I believe the clip was white.

Just look/feel around and try to tighten all of the ones you find.

Just worked in a GD 09

Old post I know but..I just did a seat swap and had an error but it ended up being the connection. It reset itself no problem once I squeezed the connector tighter.
