Help me!!!

Hi, there
I have a 2003 jazz and the drivers window will go down but it wont go up. all plugs and wires all seem to be ok. Any ideas??

Could be the window motor is malfunctioning or the window switch/control itself needs to be replaced, especially if it's as you stated - the window will go down but not up.. Being a '03 it's good chance that a part has simply worn out.

i think there was a recall on the drivers switch catching on fire!! but thats a easy fix the dealer will fix that for free. but will the window go back up? if it doesnt it sounds more like the window regulator i mean it is pretty old is the motor making any nosie?

The recall had to do with the insulation and weatherproofing some vendors of the window/door assembly seemed to forgot! Sounds to me that the little motor is just wearing out. i dont recall if the motor had a separate "switch" or not. You may just be replacing the whole motor. I don't think its too expensive. You may want to cheak wrecking yards and such for banged up fits. chances are, they will be in great shape and save you some money.
