Window Switch Recall TSB?

Has the forum posted the tech service bulletin for the driver's side window switch recall? I can't find it in a search.

Thanks.

Yeah, someone did-somewhere- I got my first notice last year in the mail and I did not take it in. I got the second notice notice last week, so I guess I'll take it in when I have some time to burn..

I called the service dept 2day and they told me that it only consists of putting a silicone/rubber boot over the switch connectors to prevent moisture and or water damage..

Thanks, vinny.

The apes at my dealership didn't put the switch panel back correctly. Also, my window now makes a noise _after_ the window is up and you let go of the switch. It's like something is lose (?) and when the current goes out of the window motor, something backs off. This noise is near the rear end of the door, not the switch panel. Strange. I hope I don't have to start taking all the door panels off, but I may have to.

Also, if the obd port is supposed to have a dust cover or cap, then they forgot to replace it when they make me a new ignition key. Anybody know if it's supposed to have a cap?

Let me know what dealership you go to. I'll stand guard for the price of one test drive

All they do is take a piece of doorliner plastic and cover the switch with it. I had mine done when i was still in the business and watched him to see what it was about. The re are only 2 tech I will let work on my car.

If you builed a relationship with the writer or manager they will usually let you know who is the master tech is and who the hacks are.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the door panels, particularly the arm rest and window switch panels, or direct me to the appropriate pages in the Service Manual?

Thanks.

Apologize for the disturbance as this thread being revived but as far as i know, there is a service bulletin from the dealership. Personally, based on my experience about a year ago, there is a scheme directly for every car when you first buy it but you had it as secondhand, you can as the previous owner.
