Ignition coils

My 07 sport fit has 127,000. Have had a drop in mpg and missfire. I replaced all the plugs....... then one coil. Then one after another the other coils started having problems..... i since have replaced all four. I kept one coil and boot as a spare part in case I have road trouble. I also kept the old accesory belt since it wasnt in bad shape for the same reason.
When you do plug replacement all the boots should be replaced properly. In the event one coil goes bad i would replace them all..... its easy. A 10mm socket. Add anti seize to the bolt when replacing them. Carefully remove the boots so you dont damage the coils.
I wish i had replaced them all at once instead two now and two 12 months later and nearly stranded on the road

Yeah I did the valve adjustment and that's what solved my problems immediately, car idles like a champ, half of my intake valves were loose. Surprisingly loose for 100k but honda must know about this because they have the incentive to have it done at 100k , hope it helps , this problem is a bitch to diagnose.

On the 2008 fit, is the IAC valve inside of the throttle body? Will I need an ECU computer scanner tool to perform the idle relearn procedure?

Thanks

is there also an air to fuel ratio sensor within the throttle body? Tps?

I have heard there is some sensor in the tb that is tuned from the factory and that in order to fix a problem with it you must replace the entire throttle body? I’d like to speak to someone who has insight.

Really? Was this in Delaware? I can’t get a quote lower than $320 from a dealership and most are $350 to $400 in Massachusetts and surrounding states.

Even had a highly rated independent mechanic well I’ll name the shop Fletcher’s auto tell me that it was at least four hours labor because he had to remove the header and that he didn’t even want the job.

At this point it seems like people are nervous about not being able to do it right, so I’d like to pay someone ~$100 an hour to help me do it because I want to verify that it’s done correctly, I can make sure and verify is done correctly with the feeler gauges once everything is apart I would like to make sure it’s rotated in the correct direction when finding top dead center.
