Floor Mat Hooks...

I'm looking into purchasing some floor mats for my 2008 Fit Sport, which for whatever reason did not come with floor mats.

However - in searching around I've noticed many people discussing 'hooks' for the OEM (as well as some other manufacturer's) floor mats.

Now... my fit has several protrusions on the floor, which could only really be described as 'hooks'. That crappy sheet of plastic there was just a temporary insert by the dealer, I'm assuming.

Does anybody know what these hooks are? Are they, in fact, the hooks for the floor mats, and the previous owner just installed, but then decided to keep the mats?

I've looked at images of the floor mats (OEM versions anyway) and they don't seem to line up with these... So are these then just 'placeholder' hooks to keep the mat from sliding back?

Anyway - any help here would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks!

.

Thanks!
Those are the oem plastic hooks, for the oem floor mats... seem cheap and maybe easily breakable, but I have not had any problems. Work great. If you order new OEM floor mats- they will come with these hooks.

Cool... so as long as I get the OEM mats, they should just fit right in with no 'installation' (no punching, piercing, or drilling holes for hooks).

My next question is what kind of floor mats will work with the 2008 Fit Sport?

I've heard someone claim that the newer ones will still fit the GD3s. In particular, someone from whom I was interested in purchasing used mats claimed that THESE ones fit "2008-2011" Fits.

However - when you look at the driver's side mat the holes don't appear to 'line-up' with the hooks that are existing on my floor...

So is there a specific range of OEM Floor Mats which I should only be looking at?

Those are mats for the GE fit. Won't fit in the GD.

That seller is not telling the truth.

FWIW the hooks you see are plastic-coated metal. I know that 'cause ours got all rusty and the plastic peeled off.

Painted them with POR-15 rust paint, I did.
