New Battery
New Battery
It seems that it's come to the time where I need a new battery (cold starts are not occurring in 60 degree weather). I was looking around and found a bunch of conflicting information. Does anyone know of a battery I can replace the car with without having to buy a mounting bracket or relocation kit? Something that will fit in the OEM position?
Any help would help.

I've seen a lot of posts about this battery: Odyssey PC 680 Battery
But no one has said anything of it fitting without modifications. Everyone has the relocation kit but I clearly wouldn't need it since I'm stock.

again, what model year are you talking about?? Apparently the first generation (2007-8) does not require any modification so people are going and installing the better 51R battery (available at Costco and elsewhere)
51R battery still works in GE8, just needs a bit of shaving done to intake box.
Much easier to simply install an aftermarket intake at same time.
Else you need to cut some of the plastic around the positive cables and flatten the wires. What I mean is the plastic casing of the terminal and fuse holder is cast in an L shape. Removing the cable guiding legs allows it to lay flat so you can install directly to 51R battery

First gen, sorry I wasn't clear just didn't think I had to bring it up because I posted in the 1st gen forum. Alright I will go to Costco and ask for the 51r.
