The box says 16.2 Lbs. The contents of the box weigh a few ounces over 10 Lbs.. There is supposed to be mounting hardware included but there wasn't any. They stuck me for over $30 on shipping also.. That is pretty fucked up but I'm sure they figure they can be chicken shit like that because they are the only people that are manufacturing these things.. They are well packaged in a nice looking box, so it ain't all bad

Yeah that is one this that irritates me is no hardware with the parts even though it says so in the paperwork, and the fact you need to trim down the upper transmission mount.

Spoon Racing Fit

that is a great car to look at if you are trying to get as light as you possibly can.

I believe its final weight was 1736lbs with a cage.

Added rear bumper and support, and stereo/heater controls. I didn't think it'd go past the 400 lbs mark but now it looks like 500 lbs might be reached!

500lbs! Wow thats good. If you want to go the expensive route i'm sure you can replace some goods with titanium and cut some serious lbs.

Titanium is for rich people. Do what all budget guys do and find yourself a set of slim box wrenches, mark how high they sit on the bolts, and grind down the excess. Then countersink the top once you are done sanding. I know a few guys who do this actually and it's surprising how much weight they save even though I do question the strength of the bolts when done.

HAHA that is questionable but you do what you need to save that weight.

Been reading up at HondaPartsNetwork.com and it has a wealth of information on weights on just about every part of the car. Been researching how to lose weight with the 2015 Fit. EVERYTHING seems to have been weighed and listed. I LOVE THAT SITE!

Please feel free to look on that site for your model of Fit and scroll through all the info. I know it's not new news to a lot of folks but I'm new here. I"m just amazed by the info and attention to detail of that sight.

Lightweight Carpet!

The stock LX CVT floor mats are 10.77lbs a piece. I plan on removing/tossing those.

In the meantime, the 'Carpet Assembly' that sits under the floor mats weigh in at 27.28lbs. (See diagram, #3)

After searching around the internet for lightweight carpet, a few people suggested using OZITE carpet. I'm interested in doing this. The dimensions of the stock 'carpet assembly' is 7ft 5.02in x 4ft 7.98in x 1ft (Metric is 2.26m x 1.42m x 34.3cm). I do not know how much it'll weigh but I'm looking to shave off 17-20lbs or so. I may ask the Ozite company to cut those dimensions and give me a final weight.

Has anyone use this product before? Posting here to keep the weight stuff altogether. I'm going to have a LOT of questions so my apologies. My energy just works that way.

I've got a bunch I've measured myself to add. Reduced the Fit (for real) by 136.7 kg's!

(in kg)
Rear seat upper brackets - 0.42
Floor mat clips - 0.05
Front A-beam trims - 0.66
Passenger seat belt height adjustment bracket - 0.37
Ceiling - 1.72
Rear floor ducts - 0.48
SRS module - 0.46
Airbags, curtains - ~7.00
Airbag, passenger - ~3.5
Airbags, sides - 2.1
Steering column cover - 0.06

I'll keep adding what I'm removing as well. Not a lot more to do... haha.

Thanks for that! I couldn't get the a pillar trims off. I will add that to the list soon.

I also weighed 3 pieces of the heater duct that leads to the rear seats: 685 g in total.

There are also foam sound deadening pieces behind the front seat belt assemblies weighing 330 g in total.

I trimmed the underside of my front bumper a bit since I was having a bit of rubbing. Also removed some plastic brackets in behind that I assume are for sport fog lights. This took off another 268 g.
