I had the stock tail light assembly in my 2007 USDM Base since it I bought it in May 2006 until about mid-2012. I never had any problems with leaks but noticed when I removed them that there is a rubber-like gasket between the plastic of the assembly and the metal of the car. You can remove the tail light by removing three 10mm nuts and then the hidden screw that you can only get to by doing a rear bumper pull. Pulling the bumper is incredibly easy and takes like 10 minutes. Then you can see if the gasket needs some attention or if you have a different problem. Good luck!

thanks all.. the leaks occur when the car sits in a a heavy rain in addition to it moving.. it looks like it could be any number of possibilities. I'm not even sure where to start

I've got this as well, it may be from a hairline crack located at the top corners of the hatch exterior where there is a long rubber strip running lengthwise. I added some sealant to the crack after removing the rubber strip. You may also want to check your carpets under the floor mats. This leak can be caused by a faulty seal in between the door plastic and metal. Do a search on here you'll find em!
