I'd just sell it and buy a manual. You'd have to modify the inside of the car as well as change the whole transmission. Don't think it's worth it.

I certainly agree with MTLian...just sell your A/T and replace it...less complications in your part and on the car...

It's not as bad as people make it to be. I've never done it, but others have.

Costly, yes. You're looking at a ballpark price of 2k-3k depending on price of tranny (etc.) IF you get your hands on like a salvaged Fit MT for like 2k or something.

Just buying parts might drive you north of 2-4k.

off the top of my head you will need
transmission
M/T ECU
M/T engine harness
shifter box
cables clutch peddle assemble
M/T trans mount
and then any other mic. Parts

If you are not doing the swap your self I honestly believe you would be better off just doing a trade for a M/T Fit

You will spend $thousands. At that price level, if it was my money I'd swap the engine for something with more power while I was swapping the transmission.

If it really is just a transmission swap you're after, swapping cars honestly makes the most sense. It's not like 5MT Fits are all that rare.

Just sell your Fit and buy a M/T let's say worse case scenario you spend 2000$ more on the M/T (unlikely anyway) you'll still be spending less $$$ than the transmission swap. Plus, if you are trying to out in salvaged/used parts, that's all stuff that could break or go wrong.

Imagine spending thousands putting a transmission only to realise it is breaking down or something is up with the clutch etc...
