Vibration/Rub Noise While Turning Left
Vibration/Rub Noise While Turning Left
Hi, new member here. I bought a 2007 Fit Sport A/T with 108k about a month and a half ago. I started noticing a vibration or rub noise while turning left only, especially during hard turns like a u-turn. Also, while reversing it will sometimes have the same noise but louder and worse when cutting the wheel in either direction. There are no wear marks on the tires showing a physical 'rub' and I just did a DIY brake job (pads and rotors). The noise still exists after changing the brakes and doesn't seem to be any different. There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary when I had the tires off, no exposed metal or wear that I could see. I plan to have the car looked at this week but was looking for any advice or tips on what this noise may be. I'm not sure if anyone has experienced a similar noise or problem and figured it out. The problem doesn't seem to be a serious issue that affects driving, the car rides smooth and straight. Overall I love the car but this noise is very annoying and creates an unpleasant driving experience. Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance.
Seth,
It is likely that one of your CV boots has a cut/tear and dirt/water has gotten inside. You should be able to look under your car and see if there is grease splattered all over the place, having leaked out of the rubber boot. This is very common and happens to every car eventually.

I'd replace the ATF fluid first (single drain & fill). (and any other fluids that you don't have maintenance records on...)
Did you look carefully at the rear drums? They may have rust buildup in the grooves that are in the edges.
