Best Rear Hatch Struts?

#2
When my wife's 2003 Focus hatch struts bit the dust, I got a pair from rockauto and they cost something like $15 with shipping. Managed to get those puppies changed with a flat blade screwdriver and a broom handle (to keep the hatch propped open while swapping them out) in about 5 min.
I think what happens with hatch struts is that the gas slowly leaks out over time, and that's when they stop working. While there may be varying degrees of sealing and quality, I think pretty much any new strut is going to be fine for awhile.
