2007 fit drove up from south of border
Hi folks i am new here.
I moved to a nice area in Mexico recently after retiring.
i bought a car down there and drove it up north to the USA, last week. First time.
i found out last week, i needed a new fuel pump, and got it from Autozone. Wrong connection at the electrical terminal end of the fuel pump assembly. Looked all around town....nada.
i have 5 pins on top of the assembly. All the ones i looked at here in the states have 4 pins (square).
i asked the autozone guy to call down and get a part number, no luck. Part number didnt match up.
anyone know why there is 5 pins on a car from MX but 4 on USA Fit?
If not, suggest a website to purchase the one i need, please.
i am stuck with my Fit in the USA....fuel pump is kinda important thing and integral point of this engine.
Can i just replace the pump and strainer with the assembly already in the car and finish the job down there with a complete assembly? Is that possible or will the 5th pin make things go haywire?
i was running at 22psi, so pump is deff. dead.

I suggest that you call some dealer in Mexico or look online for the Honda part number of the pump that fits your car. With the part number we might be able to help you find it here. The pump is probably also used on other Honda model and might be available here. Without the part number I do not know where to start. Even if I found a Honda parts catalog online from a Mexico site, I do not read or speak Spanish.
