I know that for the most part aftermarket intakes are not going to yield any substantial gains...I'm just looking for a better setup than the stock design. It looks like the PRM and and HPS kit are still out there.

I think a few people have gone the CRZ air intake route...besides the vent that is attached to the underside of the hood, the hood prop, and the radiator cap, is there anything else that gets in the way of using a CRZ intake (or aftermarket CRZ intake for that matter)?

So I just picked up a CR-Z stock airbox to be fitted to my JDM GE8. It looks like it needs the 2 metal brackets from the CR-Z as well. I did a test fit last night and it was a no go without those brackets (Part 11 and 13). While I am not entirely sure about this, but the CR-Z box doesn't fit onto the stock GE8 mounts.
