J2534 Reflash Possibilities

"Lek" say's
"I had a company do it for me.
They reflash the ECU to tune the fuel and ignition system to match the car, tuning includes released speed limit cut and rev limit cut, too. Oh and also close loop checking. There's no worry about honda warranty claim as they do not cut any wiring. They just open the ECU and connect the pin to read and write the data.
It take around 6 hours, because Honda's ECU is sealed with a silicone that is hard to open. They have to use a special chemical to open it, but it does not harm the ECU. It takes at least 3-4 hours to open it, after that they start to read and write the ECU to match the engine number, chasis number, immobilizer code and other technical stuff.
They also give a full warranty.
Watch this. It's the same thing, but the company dyno tested before and after. No problems at all. Just expensive, about $400 US. The only problem is opening Honda's ECU unit correctly on the GE Fit."

When all is said and done, we should have a way to reflash the ecu without removing anything from the car. What they are doing is a serial solder to access the eeprom directly. This has been done with piasini tools as well. I'm hoping we'll have something to test with soon.

Actually, I don't know too much about the technical details of ECU reflashing, I'm just a driver like Lorenzo.
Anyway, Piasini Engineering, Italy is who did mine and loads of other cars in Thailand.
Just google Piasini Thailand.

Nothing much right now. I have been working with Epi to get the logger working with existing PID's. Once that is functional we would be able to locate additional PID's / parameters to log. It also supports many wideband o2 units.
I will check with Colby to see if there has been any progress on the kernel. I know he's been pretty busy incorporating the standalone SD card logging to the OP 2.0.

hi there, anyone has the drivers for OP2.0 to work with HDS?
can you please send to me? I would like to trick the ECU for and update as well. And also what kind of software needed to trick the ECU to read the wrong code?
Thanks

The drivers are available here: openecu.org • View topic - Openport Stand-Alone Logging Beta
You will need a "Rev D" cable for it to work with HDS. If you look on the back of your OP 2.0 unit check for Rev C or Rev D. I cannot release any "tricking" firmware at this time as we are still in testing.

Thanks for the reply.
Perhaps we can do something on the Fit. I have an idea to share on the tuning the Fit
It seems very positive with the trick to create an update for the CM Update
I will PM you the details so we can share more to release a tuning option

I don't know how this stuff works, but I do know that since my re-flash the car pulls away much faster and on an expressway the RPM seems much lower at a high speed.
This is the amazing part, I'm getting an extra 2-3 km/L around the city and much better on the expressway.

No news on the kernel yet. I have been successful with cross-market flashing so far with some tricks. Still working on various testing and waiting on the kernel for a full dump. I am in need of the various market part #'s for the 2009+ FIT's.

Download Fit MPG.pdf from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
There's a new TSB that includes a flash.

Now I just need a copy of the 37805-RP3-A050-M1.rwd file to update. Any other owner could simply make an appointment with Honda and take a copy of the TSB in for free service.
