This processor is only in the GE8 ECU, so I don't see how this could apply to you.

Because anybody that crack a GE8 ECU could, in my opinion, do the same with a DG3! :P

Wish I had more! Still waiting on the official kernel. Since it's a side project the priority is low for development.

Once all I is said and done do you plan on doing custom tunes or flashes for the fit? If so I'll be your first customer

Yes custom and OTS maps will be available once the software is tuner friendly. I have tested a few of the JDM roms on my car so far and have found they have a nice torque boost down low. So I know power is available, especially with some of the poor fueling logic in the stock mapping.

Torque is one thing the Fit sure could use lol. I know from the factory it runs rich from the gasoline smell of the oil from the dipstick when I checked it out. My evo was the same way until I got my recent tune with afrs at 11.4 WOT n tapering to 10.8 up top ; no more gasoline smell on the dipstick .

Keep up what your doing man , I'm really anxious for a tune on the Fit

Forgive me for being a noob on this, but how would the average guy get this tune loaded up into their car

Although I only have a Magnaflow muffler and K&N typhoon intake, the later actually giving me some "real" perf numbers, I'd be very interested in this if the numbers are decent and its as close to 100% safe.

Now, would there be a 87 and 93 octane tune

I'm assuming if a flash tune were available and was similar to installing compared to my Evo ; then it would work like this. First, you must have 3 things 1) laptop , 2) interference cable( links laptop to vehicle's ecu) , and 3) a flash tune( which you must receive/purchase) . After acquiring the flash tune via email , you must upload onto your current ecu by connecting the your laptop to your ecu via " the special cable" and upload it onto your vehicle's ecu. I personally would like to visit our friend when he finishes the kernel and everything else for a full on custom-road tune. Because I believe in having a tune that is tailored for YOUR vehicle for optimum performance/reliability. On my evo I went with a custom tune instead of a email tune ( flash tune) and I'm very happy that I went with that decision. Hope this helps you out buddy , as I stated before can't wait for things to get rolling

Vinh is correct. There are very few requirements for the OTS (off the shelf) tunes. This is of course speaking from the experiences from the Subaru/Mitsubishi community. For Honda we are uncertain of the final requirements but it should be similar!

1. Laptop running Windows
2. Tactrix Openport 2.0 (Revision D or higher)
3. EcuFlash software

We still need a suitable logging program as well with definitions that are beneficial to our tuning process. I am still working with EcuEdit and hopefully we'll have more as the flashing process becomes available.

make this more than a side project... i'm going to have a fit for at least another year, it would be awesome if there was OST action for it!

Out of curiosity, assuming one was able to reflash the tuning of a GE Fit, would the dealer detect this if the car was brought in for service, and would it void the warranty?

I am going to have to say yes and yes. Now if you were to return to original ECU factory flash, then you may have a chance. This is just my thoughts though.

If done right it shouldn't be an issue. We've done this in the Subaru/Mitsu community for years now with no issues going back to stock flash.
