GE8 Dress up parts, hoses, fittings etc.

So I am at the point where a lot of what I wanted to do performance wise to my car is nearing completion or already ordered and I feel like making my engine bay a little more pretty. Rather than spending money on washers and such I was thinking of replacing some of the hoses in the engine bay near the intake area, and anything else that is visible. Does anyone know off hand what size hoses these are?

I was thinking they are probably 6 or 8mm but I am not sure and i figured I would ask before I venture under my hood to look. Also where can you buy barbed fittings for the same type of hose. I need to tap into my intake to close off the vacuum.

Last thing i was wondering is if anyone replaced the rad hose?

Thanks in advance!

thanks man, i looked them up, they have some kits for the fit but its like almost 300 for both...thats alot just for some hoses. I can deal without replacing the rad hose but i wanna replace the smaller ones with something colorful so i am just in need for host measurements, i.e. inner dia. and such. Thanks!

btw 116 views and 1 reply is weak guys hahaha

That's pretty normal about the views and no responses. But I wanna say the upper rad pipe is about an inch in diameter.. a cool idea that I did with my other car is make the necessary bends out of metal then get it powdercoated to your liking what ever color... that way you get to use some sweet tbolt clamps and add some bling to your bay

sure it'll look cool and flashy as hell but do remember that the engine moves back and forth. This is why the rad hose in made of lined rubber and shaped like an "s". There is constant pulling tugging and compression of the hose and the way our engine moves... it damn sure look like it'll leap out the bay. So yes, you "should" look into that before disaster strikes.

yes i bought both hoses, they came together. I will take pictures once its warm enough to drain the rad and swap hoses. I will probably also swap all other black hoses with blue at that time, reinstall my intake with MAFS fix and mount and run hoses for catch can.

What i am trying to figure out is where the PCV hose is? I was thinking of getting a 2nd can for it. But i have no idea which hose it is.

I'll pull up the GE8 Honda ESM later and post the image. But the PCV is on the left side of the lower rad hose on the crankcase where it is mounted and hose goes up and into the intake manifold just under the 3rd from the left. It's somewhat hidden behind the plastic shroud with HONDA written on it that held a wire. LOL I know I sound confusing but just peek under there lol. sux to be on my phone haha

Is that an electronic service manual for the GE?

I'd like to get my hands on one of those.
