I'm planning on getting a trailer hitch for my 2012 Fit Sport A/T and also would like to eventually get an axle back exhaust (probably the HKS Hi-Power). Does anyone have this combination or something similar? Looking at the pictures on etrailer.com it's hard to tell if the hitch would prevent installation of an axle back like the HKS. To be a little more specific I've been looking at the 3 hitches on the etrailer.com site:

The Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch ones look like they wrap around the stock exhaust, so I'm not sure that they would work. The Curt Hitch looks like it slips under the stock exhaust from the inside, so it looks to me like that one would have a better chance not interfering with an axle back exhaust like the HKS. Any thoughts?

I don't know if these pics will help or not- I do not have the HKS exhaust. What I do have is an Aero Turbine 4" dia. outlet pipe welded onto a 6" dia. Aero Turbine muffler. I welded up the exhaust system while the trailer hitch was already in place on the car, so the custom fit of the exhaust was done to suit the space limitations of the hitch. Good luck.







I have the Hidden Hitch on my 2009 Sport, and the ads for the Fit HKS exhaust make it look as if the exhaust will fit perfectly with the Hidden hitch or any similar hitch design.

 

Thanks for the reply Triskelion. If it works with that muffler I would think it should work fine with the HKS as well as it's similar.
