Hey guys,
trying to install a rear view camera on the GE,
hit a problem, dont know how to open the panel behind the trunk lid
any help?

Unscrew and pop out the latch on the inside of the hatch. Then just pull down on the pannel. Its held in by 8 clips if I remember correctly. The first time you do it feels like you are going to brake something.

The most difficlut part BTW is routingt he cameras power and signal wire through the rubber grommet/hose that connects the hatch to the body. I used a clothes hanger to guide them through.

You will also have to pull the wire underneeth some of the metal in the hatch to get to the gromet. You will know what im talking about once you have the cover off. Again use a piece of wire to pull it through.

I cut the connector of the RCA wire off before routingt he wires through the hatch. I resoldered them once I was done.
