Rear compartment wiring

Anyone aware of any wires in the rear compartment area or tailgate that are live at +12v only when the ignition is on? I plan on powering a tiny load (rear dash cam) but only while the vehicle is on...so I don't need anything heavy-duty. On my '13, I didn't bother checking every wire back there, so I ran a cable from the front 12v socket all the way to the back, and that was tiresome.

I was thinking, just like your bike, rear running lights, but there may be nothing lighted up with the day running lights. There's the hatch light that comes on when you open the hatch. The switch should be close to there, so it might have 12v power.

Hooking up to the reverse lights will power the camera only when in reverse. If you want it all the time the car is on I would tie into the 12 volt power plug in the console. That way you have a shorter distance to run the wire.
