I have 4 huge rolls of sound deadening left from back when i had my del sol (did the sound dampening to muffle the sound of the air compressors for the air suspension system).

has anyone done full out sound deadening on their 09+ fit?

im gonna do the whole floor, the rear trunk area (double?)...but for the doors, should i deaden the back of the plastic panel, or the metal itself? the doors are a skeleton, so if i wrapped the metal, there would still be wide openings....

im gonna do extra by the firewall too....

the roid noise pisses me off.

 

Go ahead and post ge results. perhaps before/after video from interior too to let others hear the difference.

 

I did a pretty good sized deadening to my Fit and posted about it, but it is a GD.

This is always fun to try, but rearely provides and useful data. There are way to many variables. (Camera position, noise floor, road conditions, etc.) Also you would likely have to have a pretty sensitive mic on a video camera to get it to work. Even using frequency measuring and SPL metering I have had a hard time finding solid and consistant differences.

awesome, where did you buy the MLV from?

i'd like to buy bulk quantities. i wanna do everything, under the headliner and all.

i have 4 huge rolls of the silver topped dynamat stuff. more than enuff to do the car over, and the bad spots twice. but having the MLV ontop of that would be sweet.

You can also see my install log as I have done my doors, rear hatch area so far. I did the floor during the audio install initially and didn't document it. As soon as I get my car back I have a pack of alpha damp to do my roof with.
