dome light problem
I have a problem with my 2013 Fit. The dome light, not the map lights is acting up. Here is the situation:
With the car off and light position in middle(door). The light is on when door is open. I close the door, the light dims and the light never shuts off.

I've done this a few times to make sure I wasn't tripping balls. I probably sat in the car waiting around 30 secs. (car off) for the light to shut off. But it never did. Does the dome light take longer then 30 secs. to shut off on your Fit? Maybe I was just being impatient and it does take more then 30 secs. to shut off. Only reason I ask is cuz my mom's '07 Accord dome light for sure takes less then 30 secs. to turn off when the car is off. Any help is appreciated.

30 seconds (or more) does seem like a long time...I'll have to check later on this. However, one thing I did was to change out both the dome and rear hatch lights with a good LED bulb. A lot less power drain...but nonetheless, the dome light has to go "off" regardless. Trying waiting longer and see if it goes out. I would think 60 seconds should be long enough.
Some aftermarket LED's will require a resistor for it to work properly (actually turn off when for us closed). I don't remember which ohms I used but will post it up tonight after I get off work.
If you are on OEM bulb there should be no reason why it isn't turning off.
EDIT:::
1-kohm 1/2-watt about $4 for pack of 4 at radioshack
