Mileage from ball joints and LCA bushings
Mileage from ball joints and LCA bushings
Hey all, got 175k miles on my 09 Fit and going to be replacing suspension and steering parts, but bushings and ball joints are looking fine (rubber in good/decent shape). Wondering what mileage people are getting out of them to get an idea if I should change them or leave them until the the rubber starts looking bad. Car has mostly highway miles. Thanks.
Really depends on a lot of conditions but I usually always get at least 100k out my Honda suspension components. Testing everything by jacking the car up is the best way to find out.
For the cost of the parts and to DIY might be good to replace for peace of mind. Especially if you do a lot of miles.

I'm replacing shocks/struts because they are causing flat spot wear in the tires and tie rod ends are worn. I'm going to start with that while I put it up on the lift, was just hesitant on balljoints and bushings because they looked fine last time I checked, but will see current condition.
