Lost Bracelet

Hi guys.

I had a bracelet hanging from the mirror and I think it flew off while backing up a hill and went through a hole in the dash. Either down the defrost vent in the front, or down the narrow gap next to the windows. It's the kind of bracelet with links, and could have gone down there somehow, but I didn't see where it went.

Can the moulding be removed next to the windows?...And what's involved in checking the defrost vents?

Thanks,
z

If it's worth more than a couple hundred...try to remove the vent cover next to the windshield...otherwise chalk it up as a loss.
Could always find a restoration shop with a rotisserie...turn it upside down and hope for the best.

The inside of the ventilation system, in a modern car, is one of the very hardest places to get to once the car is assembled.

I'd go fishing with some kind of magnet on a stick (get one that's flexible).

The Fit DOES have an easier access to portions of the climate system ... Drop the glove box out and you'll see what I mean (no tools required). But it's likely your item is still somewhere up near the top of the system.

Edit: If it went into the windshield gap, that's not part of ventilation .. Climb under the dash, look up and you just might see it hanging around somewhere if you are lucky
