Weird CURT 56011 trailer lights converter problem.
I installed a CURT 56011 trailer lights converter to be able to pull a small utility trailer.
I came across a weird problem and would like to know if someone else ever experienced this.
When the key is in the "ON" position in the car, everything works fine on the trailer. Brakes, flashers, position lights, hazard.
When the key is in the "OFF" position, only one brake light works (sometimes the left, sometimes the right). Same thing for the hazard lights. The tail lights all work. Everything works on the car but not on the trailer.
I suspect the MICU is sending a different signal, whether the key is in the ON or OFF position and the trailer converter gets confused about something.

This is the none powered version, meaning the converter does not have a separate fused power lead to the battery. Did you use the blue 3 pin connector and not the green connector? Keep in mind that if you have incandescent bulbs on your Fit and Trailer, you are nearing the max the converter can handle. If you have LEDs I have not heard of this issue.
