Rear speakers pre-wired DX

Hi!

I own a 2009 DX (Canadian version.) It ships with only a pair of front speakers. I want to add a pair in the back and I was wondering if anyone knew if those models are pre-wired?

Cheers!
Martin

The only thing I can suggest is to pull the rear panel out and look for the wires.

I have never heard of any Fit only having 2 speakers. Even base models come with 4 in all doors.

OP is in Canada, so they have different trim levels.

That said, I agree with @julianachos , since the OP wants to add speakers, the best thing to do is just check it out.

This post seems to suggest they were definitely pre-wired in the GD. However they seem to lack the plastic mounts that are normally attached to the door panel. I'd expect the GE to be the same.

They all come with 4 speakers standard. Even google shows that. One speaker per door, even on the base models.

Being from Canada makes no difference. And his post makes no sense.

I stand corrected. Mainly because I have never heard of Fit LX to start with.

Canada does things a little differently. I don't even think the Fit DX-A and DX have power locks. After seeing a Canadian-spec Fit, I got to see all the little differences with an LX model.

A lot of their models had the same treatment, too; Earlier model Civics and Accords come to mind.

They are cool until you constantly have to correct people they're not Civic Hybrid wheels lol.

I also own a 2009 DX, got it in British Columbia (Canada), and I can also confirm it doesnt have speakers in the rear panels, and taking to door panels off, theres no plastic mounts, or pre run wires. I know this thread is a few years old so this probably isnt much help now, but I thought I'd still leave it here.

Yeah, I realize that now. I was looking at someone's join date thinking it was this thread's post date, thought the thread was from 2015. My bad!
