Hey everyone. I've been addicted to modding my Fit recently, and I really wanted to add a fire extinguisher just to give it that rally-ish look. With the trunk area itself being taken up by so much plastic, I was really looking for a seat mount that would work, and I wanted to let you all know that The Bracketeer system does actually work on the stock seats.
Picture 1 is the Bracket itself. They recommend that you attach it to the seat rails mounted to the body of the car, but I found that with the dimensions, that just was not possible.
Picture 2 is what it looks like with a 2.5 lb Kidde extinguisher.
Picture 3 shows what the clamping system is, turns out the seat's internal rails were sufficient enough for the bracket to slide into and stay secure.
NOTE: I am a fairly tall guy, so the seat is all the way back, I am not sure if this setup would work on someone that's a bit shorter, as the seats rails would not be accessible.
