2011 Sport with GPS issue
Sounds like Honda is saying the problem will get fixed in August as the GPS clocks continue to count up. Saw that answer on a Pilot forum. Seems that all Hondas with Nav from mid 2000s to mid 2010s are affected. Whoops.
August 16, 2022 at 1AM to be exact.
Looks like other Hondas are affected as well:
2006–11 Civic Sedan
2006, 2008–11 Civic Coupe
2007–11 CR-V
2010–12 CR-Z
2006 FCX
2009–11 Insight
2009–11 Element
Sucks we have to wait 7 months for this to (hopefully) fix itself.

2009 Fit Sport and seeing the same thing -- Jan. 1, 2002. Clock always starts at 1:00. Honda must have saved a few pennies on this along the way.
I hope this is confined to the Navi head, i.e., no other electronics in the car are reading that date. My maintenance minder didn't go off telling me I'm 20 years late for an oil change, so probably not.

The problem is in the way the Alpine GPS Head unit digitally represents/translates the data for data/time from the GPS signal. Someone previously pointed out one of the know bugs in date/time implementations which fail on Jan 1,2022. According to reports, the GPS unit will figure itself out in Mid August 2022.
I give up. Been using a watch strapped to the steering wheel. Since I never used the nav screen, I'm having it replaced with a backup camera screen. Yes, money, but now that big mostly worthless space is useful.
Add me to the list: 2011 Sport.
I'm not paying $150 so the features of my car will work. I haven't needed a NAV update yet. It works fine without updates. I don't travel much and stick to the main roads. Does anyone know if the NAV map system/directions are affected, too, by the satellite-Honda issues? Or is it just the clock?
I'm disappointed in Honda for letting this happen. Something to consider when I buy my next car, which will be very soon. It was supposed to be last year, but with the inflated prices, I put that off.
Maybe I'll get a portable NAV system (Garmin or whatever).
