Exclamation Programming new keys

Hi all,
Got a new to me, 2012 Fit Sport, manual. Only came with one key. Bought two new blanks online, had the dealer cut them. I programmed them, successfully, or so I thought. Both of the new keys will lock and unlock the doors. But, the immobilizer system does not recognize them and while they both turn and start the car, it immediately shuts off. I can't find anything online about programming these things so that they can start and run the car, not just open the doors. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

There's another key programming that needs to be performed other than your door lock/ unlock function. I'm surprised the dealer didn't mention it when they cut the key for you. The chip in the new key needs to be programmed to work with the security system in your car. The dealer can do this step for you, or you can use a locksmith or some hardware stores' key cutting department for this programming. If you do a search on this forum this issue has been discussed a few times here. I hope this helps.
