Someone Help please :/

Im new to fits my mom gave it to me and ran it to hell so I'm fixing it up. I want new rims and stuff but I'm so confused with this offset crap lol. Im at stock height i don't really wanna lower or mess with the fenders or anything. I want size 16” but i want as thick of a tire as i can get without rubbing and i want them to be nice and flush with the car and want as much space filled in as i can. Someone just give me sizes please of wheels and tires thanks (pictures too if you can)

My dad put these xxr 527 15” and i think they are +20 and there is pretty much no rubbing only tiny tiny bit in the back if there is people in the back and i take a sharp turn, but not when only 2 people are in the front.

Tire sites

Some of the tire websites have calculators that pick out wheels. I used Discount Tire to find smaller rims to fit taller sidewalls for chunky ice. I'm thinking Tire Rack and maybe others will do as well or better. Offsets and width are generally somewhere to be found, and that will tell you what you need to know. I've avoided spacers so far

You need to show us pictures of what you like. Whether you want to lower the car, etc.

There is a ton of info out there, both about these cars and about wheel fitment and offset in general. Educating yourself and taking your time is going to make the car look way cooler than rushing in.

A wheel that's 15 or 16x6.5 with a 38+mm offset and 10mm spacers in the rear sits flush on a fit lowered 1" according to superstreet. My 16x7 +35 on stock struts n springs sit just a little past flush.. up front, flush in the rear. both sets were/are run with 205/50 tires.
So.. .you can either have a staggered offset which would prevent front to rear tire rotations, or drop half an inch in width.. do 10mm spacers up front and 20 in the rear. or like.. something. i'll see about doing a pic when my migraine passes

Two lil notes.
  1. The rear bumper tapers inward as it goes down (towards the ground) so flush up top will stick out a little towards bottom and lead to some splash marks.
  2. Compensating for the rear wheels being more tucked, either by adding spacers or doing staggered offsets, will affect stability. The factory stagger they did is standard stuff on FWD cars, helps em track better. I tried project kicks 10mm bolt on spacers (required cutting my studs) to make the front and rear even. Wound up ditching 'em. While I liked the look the car felt significantly more neutral in turns.. Like, easier to drift. That's fun n all, but not to my tastes since I share cars with family ~ less safe in the rain.

Disregard my math about the spacers.. the pairing of 10mm and 20mm for a 6.5" wheel. that was pukey migraine math. the wheel is 1/2" narrower than a 7, but that half inch is divided between sticking in towards the wheel well and sticking out. So the difference re-how much it sticks out would be -.25" versus a 7" wheel..

I will also dd that my wheels don't rub under any circumstance..rockin sparco terras.

Cute Fit. Liking the Hello Kitty sticker

Looks like the paint needs a bit of TLC. Mag aluminum wheel polish made by Mothers should bring the shine back into the red without having to repaint. It will take a lot of elbow grease or you can use a DA polisher.

Liking the gold wheels.. however they appear to be too wide and incorrect offset for the car. Maybe the wheels are a 15x8?

For the look you are wanting you will want to lower the car a bit and run some 16x7 or 17x7.. You can run anything 15-17 inch rim in a 7 inch wide wheel. Any more you will run high risk for rubbing. Offset is also important you will want an offset between +35 ~ +45. Anything lower than +35 you will run higher risk of rubbing.

For tire sizes in 16 inch wheels (with max tire sidewall):
  1. 185/55r16 (Factory Size for 16x6 factory wheel)
  2. 195/50r16 (Slightly smaller sidewall)
  3. 205/50r16 (About Factory Size sidewall)
  4. 205/45r16 (Optional size for if you decide to lower the car) (Smaller sidewall)

i appreciate this comment alot! Thank you for all the info for now ill have to stick with the rims until i can get new ones but im painting them a black the people who did them befor did a terrible job up close and about the paint ill have ti get it repainted completely theres alot of cracking and chipping around the car thats just super unattractive but im thinking i might just have it done white or have the red redone, i cant decide on anything lol
