Hey everyone, someone cranked on my door lock (with my key) and now it's basically jammed -- I can't unlock the car from the outside. The lock switch on the inside works, and the "whole car lock/unlock" button inside also works just fine.

I called a locksmith and he said we could try some kind of plastic key / forced lock procedure ($85) but he said 9/10 the result is that I have to take it to the dealer.

Anyone had experience with this situation? I guess I could just leave the door unlocked.

 

Dealer or locksmith is about it.

 

It wouldn't cost you much to squirt some WD-40 or PB B'laster in the lock cylinder and (gently) try to unstick it.
