Need help with clutch install
Hello folks,
I have a 2009 Honda Fit (GE) with the 5-speed manual. I recently installed an Exedy clutch kit, including a new clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. I also greased the area where the throwout bearing slides and the clutch fork pivot ball.
Since the install, I've noticed a popping sound when I press the clutch pedal, especially if I press it quickly. I already pulled the transmission back out and reinstalled everything to make sure I didn't miss anything, but the noise is still there.
Please ignore the squeaking sound in the audio attached. The noise I'm trying to figure out is the popping/clicking sound when the clutch pedal is pressed.
Note here, I haven't started the engine, added transmission fluid, or finished putting everything back together. At this point, I have only reinstalled the transmission and am still in the process of tightening/installing the bolts and finishing the assembly.
Anyone run into this before or have any ideas what might be causing it?
Thanks!
