Base 2009 Fit 5MT last Tuesday. Nicer car than my 2000 Civic DX hatch, but not as much fun to drive.

I agree with that.

The fit is a lot nicer than my 99 civic hatch, but it just doesn't have the "push me hard, please" feeling to it. It's much easier not to beat the hell out of the fit.

yes, you can demand it 'push me hard, please' IF you turn ON the cute turbo engine runner!!! it's not really fast, but enough for small fit! gotta try it yo

Just bought my '09 Blue Sport AT yesterday. Wanted a MT but hard to come by around here. First priority is getting some sort of steering wheel mounted audio controls setup. The main stereo control is a bit far for me and it didn't take long for my arm to get sore from frequently reaching for it.

Congrats to all! You'll enjoy the car a little more once broken in. I bought mine on 27 Dec 08 and now have almost 8k miles! My SSM Sport MT loves curves and turns. Its zippiness is what gets better as it reaches more miles in my opinion. Don't under estimate the 1.5 engine, it can hold its own and keep up with the best of them. I commute the hell out of my GE8 with an combined avg MPG of 37 filling up every 4.5 days.

SO true. I have a 1.4l Civic that will beat every single N/A D-series engine'd cars. It'll also outhandle most german cars on a track, but let's not get into that.

The thing that brought me to buy the Fit was the engine. Plain and simple, the engine is awesome.

2009 Sport, MT, Blue Sensation Pearl. We grabbed this one 4/11/09.

I was a little nervous about trading in my Civic EX but after some more driving today and a trip to the park with the two dogs, I'm stoked.

The view that the car provides for the driver is really something. The car is something like a pod with glass all around. Really cool!

I liked the Royal Blue and the White. The White looks great as is and I think it can look really incredible with the right wheels. Congrats!
