Service Intervals?

Yes the pads, I only changed the oil and rotated the tires. It was a 5 speed manual and I used the emergency brake all the time.

Of course the emergency brake cable (?) has stretched. It seems like I hear the brake itself (left front) disengaging when I let off on the pedal. Maybe the car isn't well insulated and I'm getting supersonic new-car paranoia hearing?!
I need to drive it some more and get used to its sounds! From the get go, the brakes have been a little grabby, but I guess that's just the Fit brakes. My old car had 239,000 miles on it and I was really used to how everything felt on it.

spark plugs are 24K
Is this what you're on to? link
A previous post says the owner's manual (American) says every 105K miles or so, depending on the maintenance minder.
The numbered services are as follows:
1: Tire rotation (nearly every service except very low mileage oil changes)
2: Replace engine air filter and cabin filter(s) (about every 22-28k miles)
3: Trans fluid replacement (AT or MT) (about every 35-45k miles)
4: Spark plug replacement, valve adjustment and I think something else (105k or so). A "4" service gets a timing belt change if so equipped.
5: Coolant replacement (around 55k).
6: 4WD or AWD Hondas get a rear diff service.

I follow the MM. The MM a/b4 service calls for replacing plugs.
I don't recall anyone here saying they've had to do this except for a couple that had problems and had to replace coil-packs/plugs, but these threw a code.
Internet chatter seems to have the NGK Iridium platinum tipped plugs lasting somewhere north of 100K.
Interesting though. The page doesn't state (that I can see) what year Jazz that's for. Maybe the early ones didn't have long life plugs.

Here is a Canadian site where you can look up the complete maintenance schedule for Honda's including the Fit.

i have iridium plugs in mine and its 85,000 miles before replacement over here or 25,000 on normal plugs

(X-post) r/Maintenance... Oil Change Intervals?
I have gone nearly 5,000 miles and the MM says the oil life is still at 70%. I drive 95% HWY and I assume my driving habits are making the MM freak out. Today I recieved a letter from the Stealership saying my oil change is due at 7,500 miles. Which is it, 7,500 miles or 15% MM?
-Should I continue to drive until my MM is @ 15%, regardless of miles?
-What intervals do you all usually use for oil changes (for HWY driving)?
-If I simply follow the MM will I still be covered under my warranty or do I need to change my oil at MM 15% or 7,500 miles (whichever comes first)?
-Will the MM decrease linearly if my driving habits stay the same or does it sorta "accel" down after 50% or so?
The manual doesnt say anything about MAX miles between oil changes. I didnt see a thread about the MM / oil intervals so if I need to post these questions there just let me know.
Thanks everyone!

I would go by the maintenance minder and not listen to the dealership. 70% life left at almost 5,000 miles is a little unusual but not crazy. Also, the manual specifically says not to change the engine oil for the first time until the maintenance minder tells you to, I think they put additives in that first oil fill that help with break-in.
In any case, 7,500 miles is a meaningless number. I go by the maintenance minder and usually end up changing my oil about every 10,000 miles.

It will adjust and stay consistent with ur driving patterns.

I drive the same as you, 95% hwy. My MM is 15% at around 11,000 miles, and that's because hwy miles, without traffic, are easy miles.
Also, it's been said to especially follow the MM for your first oil change because of the additives that are possibly in the initial oil fill which may help with breakin.
Thanks everyone!

you can do one of two things
(1) service it as per the MM and ignore the dealer
(2) wait till its 12 months or 12,500 miles and get it serviced and get the MM turned off
i went with number 2

From that canadian site:
2008 Fit Canadian Maintenance Schedule
"Replace timing belt if vehicle is regularly driven in very low temperatures (under -29°C; -20°F, V6 only)."
I'm guessing this is generic as the fit uses a chain?

I would take it as advice saying inspect/ replace the chain too. Cause that definitely is an extreme condition which could be deforming even the metal chain. But yea v6 is more of the clue that it is generic honda vehicle advice

I recently saw a study (sorry - can't remember exactly where) in which they periodically took samples of oil from a number of cars with Maintenance Minder (MM) capability and had the samples tested in a lab for impurity levels, and compared them to the MM estimates for Oil Life.
Honda Fit was one of the cars in the study. They found that the MM on the Fit was correct regarding when to change the oil. They also found that it gave different estimates for different Fits (as it should), depending on how hard they were driven and the type of oil. I think it said that the recommendations varied from around 6000 to around 15000 miles.
It gave me a lot more confidence in the MM, which I found hard to trust because drivers and conditions vary so much.

Service Intervals
Not sure if this was answered....
Came here to try and find a Service Interval Schedule for my Fit 09, didn't find anything here so I kept digging. I was looking for a spread sheet like "Do this at x Kms or x numbers of months" and I finally found it.
Not sure if the attachment will upload properly, this is my first post (and probably the last to be honest)
***Note that its specified in there that Canadians should follow the Severe Conditions chart.
Cheers

It's also never been below 10,000 miles since the last change.
Oil always looks extremely good and the cars mileage is 249,000
