Fuel Cap Replacement

I haven't taken a really good look yet, but how do I go about unhooking the tether on the fuel cap to replace it with a locking one? Does the plastic piece holding the tether pop open and snap shut or do I have to stick something in to get the tether to come out?

I vaguely recall reading you could get the strap out somehow.

Had a quick look and it appears it should come off.

I was thinking about this mod too. After realizing the gas tank was up under the front seats, i am guessing most people will not have a long enough hose to do any good...THUNDER

Don't cut it. You should be able to pop it out. In case you need to go back to stock, you can always reuse it.

I'd rather not have anyone's hose in there trying!
