so i just did the dental floss thing to my fit badge on my 09 fit and now i cant get the adhesive off. i tried a blowdryer , goo gone , water , and just rubbing.

 

use some rubbing alcohol, put it on and slowly try and rub it off in circles. make sure the cloth you're using is soft so that it doesn't scratch your paint, and that it's soaked enough.

 

use an old credit card because it wont scratch the paint but is stiff enough to remove the goo. also try tar and tree sap remover instead of goo gone.

WD 40 on a rag will take it right off

 

Lightly rub with gasoline

 

same thing happened with me. Just use googone, let sit for 30 seconds to a minute, and scrub with a microfiber cloth. Took me about a half hour from start to finish

 

Or get some 3M Adhesive Remover or similar Xylene-based solvent. That will take it right off. I keep a can handy for these kinds of stubborn adhesive issues. I also used to use it to completely strip a car of all waxes, sealants and oils. Body shops use it to prep the surface for a fresh coat of paint.

 

Just took mine of yesterday, used a hairdryer to heat the adhesive and and kind of balled it up until it was off- then used goo gone to take off what was left- took about 15 minutes but eventually it all came off.
