Unfortunately.

That's why I'm gonna have to spend $$$ to get a JDM right side seat back.

2008 driver seat a spine murderer!

MAN DOES MY BACK HURT!!!! It only took a few months for my driver seat to loose all support. It twists my spine in ways that take only minutes to cause annoying pains. Both the butt area and the entire back lack support. I'm 25 and in great shape, so it ain't me.

Besides squishy new seat covers or new seats (very expensive due to the side airbags) any suggestions?

How spendy are we talking here? It should still be possible to haul longish stuff, even w/o the seat down flat.
Or are we talking recreational use?
Good luck either way.

i like the 09 car seats (at least hte driver's seat). i drove long distance (8-10 hr per day) and having no back pain. however i am a female 5'5". my elder son who is 6'4" did drive hte Fit a few times at short distances and although he had to move hte seat all the way back and asked for a height adjuster (to lower it i assume) he did not complain of discomfort or lack of space.

Hey, I guess look up at Autosportcatalog.com they have a lot of selection for seat cushions. Also, if you have a Marshal store near you, I bought an Obus form gel seat cushion for my sister for like $50 for a set of bottom and top and she loves it.. Or you can go to a shop and tell them to customize ur seat cushion..

You can try unzipping the back of the seat to expose the cushion and the support. You will see that you can slip extra padding in between the cushion and the support to make your upper, mid or lower back more comfortable.

I haven't gotten an exact price from Dave yet.. Even though it will cost ~$$$, for my need it would make my life easier, the relatively flat mode I would use a lot when doing gigs, the hump will throw off my Tetris like configuration when packing my car with equipment cases, especially the long cases.

Dirty mode? Nah, more for the loading of equipment for gigs, but it would be a nice added feature for that too ofcourse.

Well as it is now I have to push back this mod (and a few others) a bit due to finances, I think I already spent too much, and most the stuff I can't even install yet due to this cold weather. I will be doing this eventually just don't know when yet. Probably just before I do the leather, and sunroof, or skyroof, that are on the top of my wishlist.

I wished Honda kept the seats the same size as JDM, and added some height adjustment if anything... Just because some Americans are larger, doesn't mean we all are. I even thought the GD seats were roomy enough.

I find the seats quite comfortable for short distances, and long drives as well. My major gripe is that they are just way too high, and they are dust magnets. and I have two herniated discs

Way late for this thread, but yes I have the same problem. I posted about it a few days ago. I am trying different configurations of towels but will probably try some orthopedic cushions and then maybe talk to an auto upholstery shop. It seems to be a Honda design since I had a similar issue with the 2003 Element (but then forgot about it).

I've been using a memory foam cushion too, and find that it raises me up just enough so that the curve of the seat back matches the curve of my back.

Only driven for 4-5hrs at a time so far, but am planning a road trip in late June so will see how well things go....
